US actor James Gandolfini, most recognised for his role as Mafia don Tony Soprano in HBO’s gangster series The Sopranos, married his fiancée, Deborah Lin, in Honolulu, Hawaii in front of about 200 guests. The bride, 40, is a former model and was once named Miss Asia World. Mr. Gandolfini’s eight-year-old son served as his best man.
Ms. Lin wore a white dress made from Italian lace and was escorted down the aisle of the Central Union Church by her brother, Wendell Lin. The groom wore a black tuxedo. The church was decorated with lilies and rhododendrons, and the couple entertained family and friends at a dinner reception at the Kahala Hotel, where they enjoyed a dinner of duck breast, mahi mahi and filet mignon.
Gandolfini and Lin began dating in 2006 and the pair became engaged over the Christmas holidays last year while in the Bahamas. Lin was first introduced to Gandolfini several years earlier by her college roommate Paula Hight.
The couple planned to travel to New York City for a second reception for friends there. This is the first marriage for Ms. Lin and the second for Mr. Gandolfini, who divorced his wife Marcy in 2002.
