Film Producer Marries British Designer

Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein, 55, wed British designer Georgina Chapman, 31, at Weinstein’s Green’s Farms home in Westport, CT. The bride designed her own gown. The couple requested permits to erect tents, which they decorated with chandeliers, mirrors and pink flowers. They also requested permission to launch fireworks from a barge in the Long Island Sound after the ceremony. The pair had backup generators installed at the house in the event of a power outage.
The couple welcomed about 300 guests including Helena Christensen, Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Karolina Kurkova, Paul McCartney, Eva Mendes, Anthony Minghella, Rupert Murdoch, Ron Perelman, Quentin Tarantino, Naomi Watts, Jann Wenner and Renee Zellwegger. The reception also featured video tributes from George Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Heidi Klum, who were unable to attend the ceremony.
The couple began dating in 2005. Weinstein founded Miramax films with his brother Bob in 1979. The bride is the co-founder of the Marchesa fashion line. The couple asked for donations to two charities that help underprivileged children in New York City and India.This is the first marriage for Ms. Chapman and the second for Mr. Weinstein.
