January 22, 2008
The editors of The Knot, an online wedding planning site, have compiled their predictions for wedding trends we’ll see in 2008. The editors predict that honeymoons will be longer and more luxurious than they have in years past, and brides will be going to great lengths to personalise and customise their wedding days.
The Knot predicts that jewellery rentals will come into their own, providing every bride with the opportunity to put on some very fancy hardware.
The Knot has also forecasted a change of scenery. Brides will be changing as many as three times during during the ceremony and reception!
YouTube makes its debut in wedding planning, as brides and grooms look for feedback on their plans, and in search of alternatives to traditional weddings.
Finally, according to The Knot, the 80’s cover band will be back as brides look to include live 80’s music in their receptions.
